Our Traditions

With more than 60 years of experience, First Community Village is proud to put residents first. Our traditional strengths have made us one of the most desirable full-service retirement communities in Columbus.

In 1961, Dr. Roy Burkhart, senior minister at First Community Church, envisioned a retirement community for Upper Arlington, “a place to live in security with little worry, and with the upholding of many.” Since 1963, we have turned tradition and hometown pride into a great way to embrace the future while helping seniors from all over the state and beyond.
