Rise ‘N Shine Addressing the Digital Divide Among Older Adults

Recent News | February 2, 2023

Atlanta Rise N shine Graphic

The coronavirus pandemic exposed an alarming concern with connectivity for our country’s older adults. According to data from U.S. Census Bureau, it shows that in Georgia, 57.5% of senior households have high-speed internet, 65.5% have a computer or laptop, and 69.1% have a smartphone. As our community remains dependent on broadband, older adults continue to fall behind the rest of the population in having the means and ability to access the Internet.

This event will provide strategies that will help our aging population to connect with family and friends, reduce social isolation, and access resources and virtual programs.
