National Church Residences, the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of affordable housing, is pleased to announce the promotion of Brianna Mettler from vice president of senior services to her new position as the vice president of healthcare operations.
Her new responsibilities include managing operational responsibilities for all senior service departments: Home Health, Hospice, Community Wellness, Support Services and Senior Care Management. Additionally, Mettler will direct operations at 16 senior housing properties in Ohio and Florida. The properties range from independent and assisted living, to memory care and skilled nursing communities. Overall, Mettler will oversee more than 1,200 employees in the senior services and senior living divisions.
Mettler joined National Church Residences in 2006 as a regional rehabilitation manager and has risen quickly through the ranks, said Senior Vice President of Senior Services and Senior Living, Susan DiMickele.
“What stands out most about Brianna’s management is that she is a culture leader,” explained DiMickele. “She has consistently had some of the highest employee engagement scores across our organization, including survey results from large teams and frontline staff members.”
In 2010, Mettler became the homecare administrator and was promoted three years later to director of home health services management. Shortly thereafter, she accepted the role of executive director of community health services. Then in 2016, Mettler was promoted to her most recent position, where she was responsible for a diverse portfolio and oversight of more than 450 employees. In this position, Mettler served as a strategic leader for the organization’s community programs, as well as two residential senior living communities. Under her leadership, DiMickele reports that National Church Residences has seen excellence in quality and efficiency in operations.
Mettler is a graduate of Ohio University and holds a bachelor’s degree in applied management.
She is a board member of the Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice, a member of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, and a member of Women for Economic Leadership Development.
