Allen Rupiper concluded a 35 year career in healthcare management in 2006 when he retired as President and CEO of Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio. The final 12 years of Rupiper’s career were spent at Adena. Prior to that, Rupiper spent eight years with Ancilla Systems Inc., first as the CEO of Saint Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana, and later as President and CEO of North Central Indiana Health in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He had also previously served as Senior Vice President of Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora, Illinois, from 1977 to 1985.
In March 2006, Rupiper joined the National Church Residences Board of Directors. He served as Chairman of the Board from 2015 - 2017.
After his retirement from Adena, Rupiper started a coaching and consulting business for small business owners and worked with his wife Patricia in raising and selling organic vegetables from their 60 acre farm at the Chillicothe Farmers Market.
Over the years, Rupiper’s volunteer activities have included Rotary, United Way, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, community foundations, community and regional economic development, SCORE (Service Core of Retired Executives), and numerous community and educational improvement efforts.
In addition to serving on the National Church Residences board, he is an active volunteer with the Westerville Sunrise Rotary, Westerville Area Resource Ministry, and numerous church and community related activities.
In 2013 the Rupipers relocated from Chillicothe to Westerville to be closer to their three grandchildren.
Rupiper holds an MBA from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa.
